Days of Uskoks

Senj is a coastal town under the brow of northern Velebit, and its celebrated history is marked by the bravery of the Uskok knights. On the most famous days of its history, the people of Senj remember these past times with the Uskok Days – a three day event of history revived. Knight’s tournaments and processions are held on these days in Senj, and the entire town is under siege all day and all night. Visitors can find sanctuary from this excitement in the knight’s inns where medieval specialities are prepared, or they can lose themselves in the medieval comedies, entertainers and renaissance players.
